Hi, David. I had 10 years experience in trading with China. And I am sure that China is the most risky area my company dealing with. Why?
1) Chinese thinks that they are so smart, and others so stupid. They always sending good samples and bad quality products after you approved samples. They even could send you the cargo, which not satisfied with the samples, it's so easy for them.
2) I don't telling you, that we don't have partners in China - it's a good business, so we HAVE to work with them, for me we better not))). Cause it's always a headache. Even here, we have a lot of chinese guys and gurls, they are sure that in all country we has the same - you are so wrong, that you could not imagine it!!! I never faced with such ugly business (or so called business), as I met in China. So I made a decision to buy from the Northern provinces of China is much better - cause they never telling - we can, and after you paid money changing their mind, than you could not return money. Later they pushing you to buy more or at higher prices, than in the signed contract !!! . Southern people are all cheaters!!! My company had so many problems with them.
3) if you got a trouble in China, than nobody can help you - even the court (we had good lawers, 100% win cases, and we failed in China!!! - cause they had a rule to protect their companies, it's something) or you have to pay a huge amount of money.
4) Chinese don't believe anyone, but they want everyone believes them.

In my opinion, soon many companies will try to find other place for business, if any, cause Chinese goods so low quality, people also so difficult to understand. For us 4 is for, for Chinese 1+1+1+1))) they always make simple action so difficult. I lived in Shanghai for 4 years and I can assure you - most of Chinese are cheaters!!! They will try to do it everywhere. Even big companies - for example I know chinese very good, but I always telling that I can't speak at all in the beginning, you can't amaging that I can hear during negotiations)))
For chinese - keep thinking you are the best))) In my experience only 5% of chinese I know, I can call reliable, others so far from that!!!

什么跟什么呀!各国都有儒商,各国也都有奸商;他们凭什么就扣上所有中国人呢?看来有些老外的有色眼镜还是始终摘不掉啊!象这种得了便宜还卖乖的老外不来也罢。我倒是要奉劝部分国人,不要每一个老外说得话都很正确的。

现在很多工厂确实是这样. 所以 我觉得找一个好的工厂比找一个好的客户难很多.
