我这边有一个美国客户，明明跟我们说好是即期信用证付款的，可是发过来的订单上面就写着Per irrevocable Letter of Credit issued by a first class bank (at the choice of the buyer) to the advising bank acceptable to the buyer and payable at the counters of the issing bank either (at the choice of the buyer); 1- by deferred payment of 120 days from b/l date; or 2 by acceptance of a draft drawn on the issuing bank and payable at 120 days from B/L date for 100% of the invoice value.
我很不能理解，然后网上查了一下，了解到：
即期信用证 (Sight L/C)：开证银行或其指定付款银行在见到受益人出具符合要求的单据 (汇票或其他文件) 即行付款的信用证。属于即期信用证的包括有：即期议付信用证 (Sight Negotiation L/C)；即期付款信用证 (Sight Payment L/C)。
1、那么我客户提到的defferred payment of 120 days from b/l date 根本就是长期信用证，是不是？
2、这个客户还提到
The seller has the right to request the sight payment under l/c (agreed upon in the reimboursement clause in the L/C). in that case the issuing bank will be prepared to discount without recourse (prepay) its deferred payment undertaking or accept the draft under letter of credit, provided that issuing bank has received and taken up the credit comply documents at its counters and accepted the draft. Upon prepayment, issuing bank’s deferred payment undertaking will be considered as honored. All banking Charges outside L/C issuing bank are for account of sellers. All discount charges/interest at the counters of issuing bank are for applicant’s account. Letters of credit issued are to be subject to the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (2007 Revision) as laid down in the brochure no. 600 of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris. The option 1 and 2 are mentioned as that will depend on the banks from both sides involved in the business. Purely from technical point of view some banks can issue L/C’s available with deferred payment and some – available by accept can of a draft, but at the end in both cases beneficiary will be paid at sight.
我就更加费解了，我的客户邮件里明确表示用即期信用证付款，所有银行手续费由客户出，为什么订单里还有这一项呢？
我想问以上提到的这些条款，是不是对我们公司非常不利? 另外我司一开始要求的是T/T 30 days of B/L.
客户说既然我们都能够给出提单日30天为什么不能同意即期信用证；
求助啊！！！！

你问问他能不能给你们开一个经过银行承兑过的汇票。
或者远期也没事让他通知开证行允许议付就行了。

我怎么都觉得是在套银行的钱

应该是假远期信用证——受益人可以得到开证行的即期付款，而贴现的利息和费用由开证申请人承担，即这种假远期信用证是开证行给开证申请人的一种融资行为，这个与受益人无关。受益人只要能够得到即期付款即可。
所以，假远期信用证实际上等于即期信用证。
