综合福斯新闻、每日邮报报导，纽约州第二大城水牛城（Buffalo）23日晚间有数百辆汽车受困，就连消防车也被雪困住，一天降雪量达到22.3英吋（约56.6公分），几乎是1976年最高纪录12.6英吋（约32公分）的两倍。美国国家气象局数据显示，截至当地24日晚间7时，水牛城尼加拉国际机场（BuffaloAirport）积雪已超过28英吋（约71公分）。

依据水牛城当地机构与各地网友的回报，街道满是积雪，车辆早被白雪覆盖，部分地区积雪高度，已来到身高180公分男子的颈部位置左右。居民的住处与家门前的树木也被冰封。
