新西敏哥伦比亚广场 Bosley's 宠物店的老板 Karima Jivraj 最近在推特上恳求公众在其店里戴口罩。
她表示虽然省卫生官员Bonnie Henry 博士只是建议戴口罩，但她的宠物店规定戴口罩的要求是为了顾客和员工的安全。
她指自已有些工作人员仍在等待接种第二针疫苗，有些人家中有 12 岁以下的兄弟姐妹，不能接种疫苗。她称店里规定戴口罩，只是保护客户、工作人员和家人的安全。

由于这家宠物店戴口罩的规定，也引发一些冲突事件。
根据宠物店的推文，上周，由于一些客户的不可接受行为，宠物店不得不两次报警。其中一人拒绝戴口罩被拒绝服务后，还从商店偷了一袋宠物的食品。其中一个拒绝戴口罩的男子还大喊这些工作人员的名字进行威胁。
店主也建议不想戴口罩的人可以改在网上购物。
