加拿大进出口外贸贴一个说服客户付样品费的案例。

我们是做服装的,有个美国客户询了价格,客户想要样品2种级别各一套,外加2双手套,共6件,样品价格是按大货价格来的,但是每件要额外收USD15.000的打样费,总共USD90,这USD90.00等客户丁大货的时候会退回的,但是客户是同意付额外的USD15.00,不肯付USD90.00


6月28号客户回:
Hi Dong,

Hope you are well. We are excited to get these samples in productions, although I do have one concern. The sample fee is much higher than we anticipated, we willing to pay $15 sample fee but think it is fair to pay a total of $15 rather than $15 per item. Is this understandable?

We would like to do business with you but this is our only issue. Looking forward to you response on this matter.

6月29号 我回:
Hello John,

I have duly received your email and concern.

Yes, I understand you, but our sample fee is charged as each item( USD15.00). As you may know that for different samples, workers need to do it as seperate orders and sample's process is same as large production, so the labor cost is very high.  Furthermore, in order to show our sincerity, we shall return the sample fee (USD90.00) to you when you order large quantity.

Thanks a lot for your kind understanding and wait for your reply.

客户没回我,于是6月30号,又给客户写了一封信:

Hello John,

How are you.

Will you go ahead with the samples? If you still have concern on sample cost, we can send you our proforma invoice stating that we shall return the sample cost when receiving your further order.( Generally sample cost will be return when order for Level A and B above 5pc or order for Level C and D above 10pcs)

BTW,our price for Glove (Type A) is USD8.50/pair, if you would like, you can just order 1 pair sample,rather than 2 pairs, then the total cost will be cheaper, here is details ****,

If you have any question, pls kindly let me know.

Wait for your comment and really hope to cooperate with you.

客户还是没回,觉得客户还是不同意,因为客户之前每次都是回的好及时的,跟主管沟通过这个客户和情况,但是仍旧要收USD90.00,于是7月5号又给客户写信:

Hello John,

Good evening.

Honestly I do not want to lose any potential customer like you, so I did talk with our manager for several times regarding your concern of sample fee, but she still could not regarded this as an exception as there are over ten salesmen in our company. If she take yours as an exception, it is unfair to other salemen and other customers.

What'smore, we never expect to make profit from those sample fee, what we expect is to establish a longer business relationship, so the sample fee is returenable when receiveing further order.

Hope you could reconsider it, and wait for your favorable reply.

BTW, I share you some information about our company.

好伤心客户还是没回, 在10号的时候开2季度销售会议又提了客户的情况,boss和经理都在,公司还是坚持底线,而且大致判断客户是来骗样品的,,,但是自己不甘心,因为这个是刚进这个公司联系的最频繁,最有意向,而且当时联系的时候客户说以后量比较大(100套以上),于是12号又给客户写了一封信:

Hello John,

How are you, several days no news from you, wish you good.

Have you re-consider my previous email? How about your comment and your concerning? Honestly I feel very pity that our discussion was pending, and at the beganning, we comunicate very smooth and happly.

Here is the picture of fabric for Level A and B for your better reference or if you would like, we can print a mini-maker for your better checking.

结果第二天早上打开邮箱就收到客户的回复了。。。

Hi Dong,

Sorry for the late reply. We would like to proceed with these samples and this price we have discussed previously.


We would like the Level A Jersey and bib both an XL and the Level B jersey and bib in Large. Both in the race cut.

Please advise me again on the PayPal information for payment.

楼主,虽然我不知道你有多大,但是我很佩服你,觉得自己这个没本事的老鸟要多多向在学习。
锲而不舍的精神,无论客户怎样不回复,你的做法是不断思考,而不是自暴自弃或者埋怨上级不同意免费样品
看过你的帖子,才发现自己是有多幸福,最近我在跟进一个展会的客户,联系了一个月才确认了样品订单,但是客户不想付款(一百多人民币)。我什么都不想,就问上级,结果同意了,理由是我跟进有一段时间了,而且这是展会的客户,觉得可以免收样品费。
我这种不用经历多少就能换来的样品单,感觉是真是身在福中。
