焰色试验：使用被煤气喷灯加热过的铜线对样品进行测试，不允许有氯化物产生（即不许产生绿色火焰）。

火焰测试：将样品拿住靠在由本生灯火焰加热的铜线的发红热的部分时不得出现绿色火焰，有绿色火焰则表明有氯化物的存在。
