1.your statement purportedly signed by an authorized representative of XXXXXXXXXX. stating that "Financial obligations have not been fulfilled by XXXXXXXX. and are hereby responsible for payment of (amount of draw up to $16,223.76)
AND
2.this original letter of credit and any amendments hereafter.
Partial draws are permitted.
It is a condition of this letter of credit that it shall be automatically renewable for additional terms of one year from the present or each future expiration date unless we give you and XXXXXXX. at least thirty (30) days prior to said expiration date written notice by certified mail, return receipt requested, that we elect to terminate this credit at the end of its then current term.

This Letter of Credit is subject to and shall be governed in accordance with the terms of the Uniform Commercial Code, Article 5, Letters of Credit, 13 Pa.C.S.A. § 5101 et seq. (“Article 5”); and shall not be subject to or governed by the provisions of the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credit (2007 Revision) International Chamber of Commerce Publication No. 600 (the “UCP 600”) or International Standby Practices Publication No. 590 (1998 Edition) (the “ISP 98”), except that where Article 5 is silent as to any issue which is addressed by the UCP 600, then the UCP 600 shall govern as to that issue only.

不是正式的信用证，这是备用信用证的申请书。这种信用证不是用来付款的，而是银行的担保文件，也就是用于，万一客户未能在约定的时间支付货款或者担保的事项中履约，备用信用证的开证行就会按照条款的约定，向受益人支付赔偿金。

题头的IRREVOCABLE STANDBY LETTER OF CREDIT就是不可撤销的备用信用证。正常用于付款的信用证一般是DOCUMENTARY CREDIT,或者IRREVOCABLE LETTER OF CREDIT. 信用证的用词是很严谨的，因此你必须搞清楚信用证正文中的每一个单词的真实含义，任何对单词的误解，可能会造成无法挽回的损失。

感谢，信用证新手一枚。IRREVOCABLE LETTER OF CREDIT（不可撤销信用证）是DOCUMENTARY CREDIT（跟单信用证）一种。我让客户以IRREVOCABLE LETTER OF CREDIT向银行申请开证。一般IRREVOCABLE LETTER OF CREDIT 包含内容：20 DOCUMENTARY CREDIT NUMBER（信用证号码）、27 SEQUENCE OF TOTAL（电文页次）、31D DATE AND PLACE OF EXPIRY（信用证有效期和有效地点）、 32B CURRENCY CODE, AMOUNT（信用证结算的货币和金额）、 40A FORM OF DOCUMENTARY CREDIT（跟单信用证形式）、41a AVAILABLE WITH...BY...（指定的有关银行及信用证兑付的方式）、45A DESCRIPTION OF GOODS AND/OR SERVICES（货物描述）、49 CONFIRMATION INSTRUCTIONS（保兑指示）、 50 APPLICANT（信用证开证申请人）、59 BENEFICIARY（信用证的受益人）。是这些吗？再次感谢！

备用信用证可以作为收款方式吗？没处理过备用信用证，一般我们收款用的都是跟单信用证吧

备用信用证不作为结算方式，但可以为结算提供担保。即对方未履行其他结算方式的付款义务时，你们可以在备用信用证下索付。
就上述备用信用证，有一点需要确认：
1.your statement purportedly signed by an authorized representative of XXXXXXXXXX.
XXXX是谁？是否能获得他的签字的statement？此点关系到是否能在此SBLC下索付。

本案情况下SBLC起担保作用。建议付款方式用TT，它的处理好过信用证，因为沒有相符交单才付款的要求。
