SU.T +1.32% and the smaller Carmon Creek project from Royal Dutch Shell RDSB.LN -5.16% plc.Suncor Energy said in a statement late Wednesday the company and its joint-venture partners will proceed with the 13.5 billion Canadian dollar ($12.9 billion) Fort Hills oil-sands project in northern Alberta.Calgary, Alberta-based Suncor, which is one of Canada's largest oil-sands operators, said it will develop and operate Fort Hills, which is expected to produce 180,000 barrels a day of oil when it reaches full capacity and have a mine life of more than 50 years.Suncor has a 40.8% stake in the project. Its partners are French oil giant Total S.A. FP.FR +0.08% , which has a 39.2% stake, and Canadian diversified miner Teck Resources Ltd. TCK.B.T -2.32% with a 20% interest.Suncor said its portion of the investment will total about C$5.5 billion. The company already has extensive oil-sands operations in Alberta, including the Millennium and North Steepbank operations, which like Fort Hills are oil-sands mining sites, and the MacKay River and Firebag operations, which are exploited using a production method called steam-assisted gravity drainage.The company said first oil at Fort Hills could come as early as the fourth quarter of 2017.In the third quarter ended Sept. 30, Suncor's oil-sands operations produced 396,400 barrels a day of oil, up 16% from a year earlier.Canadian pipeline operator Enbridge Inc. ENB.T +0.85% said it has been selected by Suncor and the Fort Hills partners to build a new C$1.6 billion pipeline to transport oil from the Fort Hills project and Suncor's existing oil-sands operations to its mainline hub at Hardisty, Alberta. （正在干这个项目）The proposed Wood Buffalo Extension pipeline remains subject to Suncor board approval, as well as customary regulatory approvals, it noted.Separately, Shell said it will move ahead with its 100%-owned Carmon Creek project, which is expected to produce up to 80,000 barrels of oil a day.Shell didn't disclose the estimated cost of the project, which is said "will be part of the company's broader production, refining and marketing business across the full value chain in North America."

ENB.T +0.85% said it has been selected by Suncor and the Fort Hills partners to build a new C$1.6 billion pipeline to transport oil from the Fort Hills project and Suncor's existing oil-sands operations to its mainline hub at Hardisty, Alberta. （正在干这个项目）点击展开... 算是个好消息，起码能解决一批目前赋闲人员的饭碗问题，不过这根管子是Suncor自己的管子吧？看起来还是Suncor自己在玩，没有什么整个行业普遍回暖的迹象。 还是没有看到油砂往外运的任何消息。不过大公司总是先知先觉，难道是油砂外运有内部消息了, Suncor提前行动了？ BTW, 有研究过那个Enbridge Inc. 的股票吗？感觉是不是应该买点啊，如果以后往西的油管能批的话，楼主不是也说最近管子项目比较多嘛。 不过记得前段时间有个新闻说现在还在研究用火车外运阿省重油的问题，如果成真了，对这个管子公司是不是也影响挺大的啊？
