我刚从事外贸一个月,某天下午搜索到一位美国潜在客户,然后晚上打电话过去,得知他的邮箱后,发了以下开发信:
Subject: Medical Clothing

Dear Ray,
Nice talking with you over the phone. Thanks for your help. I would like to briefly introduce our company as follows.
Our company is a professional company supplying medical clothing. Major products include bouffant caps, mob caps, face masks, surgical gowns, isolation gowns, latex gloves, and shoe covers etc. All products are bottomly priced for their excellent quality and prove very popular in China and Japan.

Your reply is very important for us and would be highly appreciated.

第二天收到他的回信:
Hi Jason,



Your English is good.  Please quote me prices ( – Memphis, TN) on the following:



Gloves:

  Nitrile

  Power free Latex

  Power free Vinyl



Isolaton Gown:


I’m going to need to see an example of each and the packaging.  I must compare it with my current provider.

星期二收到了他的回信:Hi Jason,


Don’t send samples yet.  I’m not sure of  the pricing.  Can you explain.  The unit price represents what?  Sorry for the misunderstanding.

The unit price is for each piece of glove or isolation gown. We were just trying to illustrate the packaging, sorry for the misunderstanding we caused.

然后过了几个小时,收到他的回复:

Hi Jason,



You prices are about the same as what I’m paying now.  Unless I can get a huge savings, I’m not interest.  I’m disappointed in your prices.

知自己的报价没优势后,我有些失望了,回信如下:
Hi Ray,
I'll feedback your comment to our general manager, and then we are going to negotiate with our factories. If there is possibility to lower the price without compromising the quality, we will let you know soon.

过了大概三个工作日后,昨晚我给他发了如下邮件:
Subject: RE: Quote for Gloves and Isolation Gowns

Hi Ray,
My dear friend, how's the holiday going?
Further to the subject quote, we feel regrettable to find it unfavorable on your side. Still there is possibility of lowering the price, but we need your help.
First off, please give us your acceptable price range, and then we would forward it to the factories. We have business relations with many prominent factories in China, so to find the right one for you is anything but a problem. If the factories find your price workable, then we will be controlling the quality here for you.
What would you say to that?
