我们收到的韩国首尔保证保险公司的保函，没完全看懂。请高手指教。英文如下：as the principal and the surety are held and firmly bound unto obligee in the sum of USD*****, for the payment of which sum well and truly to be made,we,the said principal and the said surety, bind ourselves,our heirs ******* firmly by these presents THE CONDITION OF THIS OBLIGATION IS SUCH, that whereas the principal entered into a certain contract with the obligee dated *** for NO. *****, in accordance with the terms and conditions of said contract, which is hereby referred to and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein;
NOW, THEREFORE, IF THE CONDITION OF THIS OBLIGATION IS SUCH, that if the principal shall faithfully perform the duties of his office as prescribed by the said contract, or shall repay the advance payment and/or indemnify the loss for the advance materials to the obligee which said obligee furnished and/or delivered to the principal, by reason of failure or default on the part of the principal to do so, then this boligation shall be null and void, otherwise it shall remain in full force and effect.
