There are many activities going one in Edmonton for family day(Monday). There are fun activities in downtown Edmonton in city hall and Churchill Square park.Web site is www.edmonton.ca. There is a free multicultural show in the Winspear Centre, music and dance from many different countries starting at 2pm. (You only need to bring a donation for the food bank.) I went last year and it was very enjoyable!!!For those who like skating, there's free skating at Westmount Centre -111Ave and Groat Rd. from 1:30pm - 4pm. There are activities, wagon rides, free hot chocolate,tours andentertainment at the Alberta Legislature from 12pm -4pm.The Royal Alberta Museum is open and is half price. You can see the Alberta Centennial Time Capsule. website is www.royalalbertamuseum.ca.If you like to exercise or go swimming the Edmonton YMCA(4 locations) is open and free from 1pm-4pm. Enjoy swims, in indoor playground and open gym. website www.edmontonymca.ca.On Sunday at Hawrelak Park, starting at 10am, there's the Silver Skate festival. You can watch a 20 km race combining skating, skiing and running. Edmonton Transit has special rates on Monday. A family of up to five - 2 adults and kids can travel for one adult fare.Enjoy Family Day!!
