My client, a leader in the telecommunications industry, is seeking a Wireless Technical Support Consultant for an initial 6 month contract with the possibility for extension. This opportunity is located in the downtown core. Below I have listed the job description for you to review. Responsibilities: Providing technical problem resolution and connectivity resolutions for wireless data devices and associated desktop software Resolution for issues relating to account provisioning, device functionality, device configuration, application support, software downloads and network connectivity Reporting and escalating any internal and/or vendor issues Blackberry Handheld GPRS and Mobitex support including redirector without a BES, Intellisync, electronic webmail etc… Providing a consistently high level of customer service when assisting new or existing customers by complying with customer service standards Answering customer inquiries about device repair and replacement Meeting core objectives and complying with department best practices and call flow procedures Ensuring all customer interactions are thoroughly documented with the ticketing system Maintain up to date knowledge of supported products and industry standards Bilingual – French and English preferred. Qualifications: A+ certification or equivalent is preferred Post secondary education in a related field preferred Previous experience within a technical helpdesk environment or call-centre preferred Working in a networked environment Keyboarding skills Ability to multi-task (talk, type, listen_ Excellent verbal and written communication skills Telecommunication experience is an asset MCSE 2000/2003 certification is an asset Network+ or Microsoft Certified System Administrator with Messaging (MCSE Messaging) or similar designation is an asset Other information: This is a 24/7 environment.
