Our firm is known for providing specific andactionable tax planning advice to our clients. We work with small and medium-sizedbusinesses and professionals. We offer a full range of accounting and tax complianceservices including preparation of Notice to Reader, Review Engagement and AuditedFinancial Statements, as well as corporate, personal, trust tax returns and specializedtax returns and elections. We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper, who has at least 3 years experience inpublic accounting environment in Canada, with excellent English communication skill, toserve the firm's existing clients and to report to the 3 Partners of the firm directly. Ourfirm is a Public Accounting firm, licensed by CPA Ontario, to perform Audit and Reviewservices.Experienced Bookkeeper’s responsibilities include bookkeeping, year-end accounting,corporate and personal tax. A successful Bookkeeper combines excellent analyticalskills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reportsand prepare financial statements in accordance with Accounting Standard forEnterprises and its working papers, and to prepare personal tax returns and assist toprepare corporate tax returns. The ideal candidate has experience collaborating withour 3 CPA Partners and clients.Responsibilities• Bookkeeping functions via Quickbooks Desktop and Quickbooks Online,including bank reconciliations, posting of entries, payrolls and maintenance ofTrial Balances and General Ledger• Prepare working papers for year-end accounting and financial statements forclients• Communicate to clients for any accounting or tax matters or assigned byPartners of the firm• Participate in Review or Audit work, as assigned by the managing partner• Prepare corporate and personal tax returns• Weekly report to the PartnersSkills• Proven experience as an Bookkeeper in the Public Accounting firm in Canada• Experience in the preparation of the financial statements in accordance to theAccounting Standard for Private Enterprises (ASPE)• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closeprocess• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks desktop and online version• Experience or willing to learn, in the preparation of Canadian Corporate andPersonal Tax Returns• Advanced MS Excel skills• Accuracy and attention to detail• Good English communication skills
