Please find the most updated status in Philippines below listed. Per talk yesterday, customer in Philippines are in possession of the cargo there and no chance for us to amend the BL consignee. Customer in Philippines has had their vendor to ship new fabrics to them so they are not very cooperative in this matter…
Our air forwarder currently is not able to pull-out the cargo from the bonded warehouse as the Customer in Philippines already started the filling of docs (wrong entry) from the Customs and this shipment will be subject to the approval by the Customs.
Also, please advise if Duties and taxes already paid or not? Who will pay for the storage and warehousing charges (import to Philippines )? Some of the client choose to pay the duties and taxes instead of waiting for the approval of wrong entry by customs to avoid the huge storage, penalty and warehousing charges. Kindly please note that we can only export shipments to other destination after duties and taxes paid.
Further, it will take time to process the wrong shipment and much advisable that the Customer in Philippines handle the import to Philippines side or the releasing. Once cargo is cleared and released we can handle the exportation of this shipment without delay.
Suppose need to wait for the consignee to process and iron out the needed requirements by January to soften the process.
