1. Our marketing strategy in 2004 will have slight changes: we anticipate the year 2004 will be a better business year than 2003. In the beginning of 2004 we received very large orders for Direct Roving which made our production lines run at 100%. However, we also have some big disadvantages: the increasing cost in Raw Materials, Energy and Transportation both inland and by sea freight will reduce our margins. Besides, the Policy by Central Government regarding the refund for export has already been effective by dropping 2% (from the previous 13% to the current 11%) and we will be even faced with another potential disadvantage of the rising Chinese Currency RMB Yuan against USD or Euro, which is no good for export. The pricing in 2004 will be increased by at least 5% average than last year. My friends told me they prefer stocking the products as raw materials in their warehouse to holding the money in hands!!!2. Regarding your request for payment term of D/P 45 days I am sorry to inform you that we only accept D/P at sight or L/C for you as we used to, but for other customers (esp. the small customers) we request T/T before shipment.
3. For your reference we had good discussions this week with our foreign investor who agreed to invest more than USD20 million on our company and for our production expansion. We are now in the process of building a big furnace with an annual capacity of 60,000 tons of this products. The day before yesterday our Board has made up another decision of building a C-glass furnace with an annual capacity of 30,000 tons. These two projects request a lot of cash which result in our marketing strategy for year 2004.
4. Regarding your demand of 5,000 tons or more in 2004 I think this is only possible in the second quarter, but we have to agree to each other first the payment term, and second the prices which are expected to be higher than last year.
5. For the business cooperation for India and Pakistan, etc, I look forward to meeting and having discussions with you during the exhib.
