Clam Harbour Beach is a long, beautiful white sand beach within the Halifax Regional Municipality. For the past 32 years, the Clam Harbour Beach Sandcastle Competition has attracted hundreds of contestants and thousands of spectators. Come build your dream castle during the 33rd Annual competition: When:Sunday, August 14, 2011 - Rain or shine! *Beach opens at 9:00 am (due to the high tide at 9:20 am) Where:Clam Harbour Beach Provincial Park Directions:Located 84km from Dartmouth on Route #7 along the Eastern Shore.
