Additional responsibilities include security and communications systems (VOIP and Video Conferencing). This position requires an individual with strong support skills and willingness to be proactive at recommending and implementing improvements to increase reliability, security and performance of the network infrastructure.Provides problem determination and resolution related to global infrastructure issuesAssists with Level 3, project management and technology implementation supportAssists with special projects as required on server installations, backup management network configurations & systems management. Work on the infrastructure performance improvements.・ Follow the company standard processes, including Change Management, Incident Management and Problem Management processes.・ Work on capacity and performance management.・ Work on designs, processes, procedures, documentation.・ Work on reporting, statistics, trend analyses, and problems’ prevention.・ Work on new technologies and tools’ research and implementation, measure performance and capacity.・ Work on Disaster Recovery plans and tests.・ Perform backup and restore for midrange systems (Unix, Windows, databases). Experience and in-depth knowledge of Veritas NetBackup 5.1 or 6.x Datacenter application (3 ? 4 years). Experience performing backup and restore for UNIX and Windows clients.4. Experience and knowledge of HSM applications.5. Experience and knowledge of storage (tape and disk) and SAN architecture and solutions.6. Good working knowledge of robotic Tape Libraries functionality (preferably StorageTek) and media (tapes); knowledge of vaulting processes.7. Experience and knowledge of networks.8. Experience and knowledge of Disaster Recovery processes, planning and testing. 9. Experience and understanding of enterprise Datacentre processes: change, problem and incident management, etc.10. Experience and knowledge of performance and capacity planning, and metrics.11. Knowledge of MS Windows 2000/2003 and MS Exchange 2000.12. Understanding of database applications (e.g. Oracle, SQL, and Sybase) and Oracle RMAN.13. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Experience writing reports and documentation.14.
