Information Security ManagementOversee information security activities to execute the firm?s information security program.Ensure that the rules of use for information systems comply with the firm's information security policies. Ensure that the administrative procedures for information systems comply with the firm's information security policies. Ensure that services provided by business partners, including outsourced providers, are consistent with established information security policies Use metrics to measure, monitor and report on the effectiveness of information security controls and compliance with information security policies. Ensure that non-compliance issues and other variances are reported and resolved in a timely manner Oversee security operations activities including threat and vulnerability prevention, monitoring and detection and conducting risk assessments. Promote security awareness within the firm. Work with the Firm?s Global IT Security Group to ensure Canadian firm security policies comply with global standards. Provide IT Audit services through the entire Systems Development Life Cycle. Provide IT security guidance in the design and architecture of technology solutions. Manage the Canadian Firm?s Computer Security Incident Response Program (CSIRP).Qualifications:Education Degree ? BA/B.Sc. or equivalent industry experienceCertifications CISSP preferred CISA, CISM, GIAC or other security certifications are desirableExperience 10+ years of general IT/IS operations experience with 4-6 years of experience in a IT/IS security Technical & Analytical Experience conducting vulnerability assessments Security architecture design review Anti-Virus and Spyware remediation Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and/or Intrusion Protection Systems (IPS) Familiarity with URL filtering technologies Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems Working knowledge of Sun Solaris Knowledge of LAN and WAN topologies Familiarity withISO 17799, 27001Communication Excellent communication skills ? verbal, written, and presentation Proven ability to effectively communicate with clients, technical staff, senior management and vendors Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing located in downtown Toronto. This is a full time permanent role. Base salary is 100-120k with 4 weeks vacation and 0-20% bonus.
