[FONT=宋体]加拿大移民初审简化（转贴）[/FONT] New Federal Application Process[FONT=宋体]：[/FONT]Citizenship and Immigration Canada has introduced a new application process for most federal skilled workers and business class immigration applicants. This new procedure will be effective as of September 1, 2006 for applications filed outside of Canada. This new procedure, called the “Simplified Application Process” by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC), introduces a two-step approach in the submission of a permanent residence application. In “Stage One: Initial Application”, the candidates must submit their application for permanent residence in Canada (IMM 0008BU), the Use of a Representative (IMM 5476), if applicable, and their Processing fees.Secondly, when the Embassies, Consulates and the federal authorities are ready to assess the application, they will contact the candidates or their representatives and ask them to submit a full and updated file in support of their application (so-called Stage Two : Filing of Supporting Documents). We remind candidates and their agents that it is important to make sure, before sending the application forms, that the candidate qualifies and that he indeed possesses all necessary documents that will be submitted later. It is also important to make sure that the supporting documents to be submitted later are carefully stored while waiting for CIC's request to submit them. This new procedure applies to most skilled workers and business applications filed after September 1, 2006. However, the following applicants cannot apply under the simplified application process :1.Provincial nominees; 2.Quebec applicants;3.Candidates with arranged employment in Canada; 4.Temporary residents of Canada (worker or student) who are submitting their application at the Canadian visa office in Buffalo; 5.Candidates who have a legal status in the United States and are submitting their application through the Canadian visa office in Buffalo.CIC mentions that the filing of the application forms “guarantees your place in the processing queue, meaning that the regulations in effect on that date will apply to your application” and it remains to be seen whether this promise will be effectively enforced or not.
