Plus, for a limited time, pull in a bonus $20 deposit2 when you open your first account.（1） Your Canadian Tire High Interest Savings account will earn a bonus interest rate of 1.25% per annum above the regular posted rate for this Account. The bonus rate applies only: (i) to a customer's first Account (including Joint Accounts), and (ii) once the Account is opened, to balances up to and including $100,000 for 90 days starting on the day of the first deposit into the Account. If the Account is closed before the end of a calendar month or before the 90th day of the offer period, you will forfeit the bonus rate interest that accrued from the beginning of the particular month in which the Account was closed. On all credit balances after those 90 days, and on any credit balances over $100,000 during those 90 days, only the regular variable rate of interest (currently 3.05%) then in effect for this type of account will apply. This offer ends on December 31, 2008, and may be changed, extended or withdrawn without notice. Rates quoted as of October 2, 2008 and subject to change without notice. Interest is paid monthly and is calculated daily based on the daily closing balance.

You can transfer your money from BMO's cheque account to CA Tire's saving, to earn higher interest.But be careful, it is online banking, ONLY good for saving purpose. http://www.redflagdeals.com/deals/m...ces_get_a_20_deposit_when_opening_new_high_inHSBC Direct is also good choice. having higer interest, and a lot of ATMs ( HSBC Direct lets you use BMO's ATM)
