We are a Toronto-based autoparts warehouse Distributor in Scarborough and are now hiring a Bookkeeper tojoin our team.
Responsibilities for Bookkeeper
Ø
Keep financial records andestablish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerizedbookkeeping systems
Ø
Perform payroll functions in anaccurate and timely manner, and submit payroll taxes, WSIB.
Ø
Perform all activities related tothe accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processingpayments
Ø
Perform account receivable functionsincluding invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition
Ø
Prepare financial reports throughcollection, analysis, and summarization of data
Ø
Prepare other statistical, financialand accounting reports
Ø
Interpret and apply accountingpolicies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance withapplicable standards
Ø
Customer service: answering phonecalls and reply e-mails accordingly
Ø
Other work assigned by management
Qualifications forBookkeeper
Ø
Financial and/or Accounting Diploma or Degree required.
Ø
Relevant experience working in accounting and bookkeeping (preferred)
Ø
Strong verbal andwritten communication skills
Ø
Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivableprinciples
Ø
Proficient skills in computerand accounting systems (Excel etc.)
Ø
High degree ofaccuracy and attention to detail
Ø
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Ø
Organized and capable of working with minimal supervision.
