[FONT=宋体]下午收到北京来的补护/料信，要求提供护照以外的下列材料，请大家帮忙看一看：[/FONT]​ [FONT=宋体]1​[FONT=宋体]、Police Certificate: From each country/state where the residence period has been [/FONT][FONT=宋体]six months or longer since the age of 18, provide an original police clearance certificate under[/FONT]​[/FONT][FONT=宋体]your previuos name XX.[/FONT] [FONT=宋体]LZ[FONT=宋体]十岁时改过名字，在户口本上和form里有显示。这句话是说要提供18岁以后在每个居住6个月以上的国家的无犯罪证明原件，LZ是不是只要在派出所开个何时更改曾用名的证明即可，不用开无犯罪证明？[/FONT]​ [FONT=宋体]按理说无犯罪证明是需要公证的，可是在补护/料信里有这么一句话——[/FONT]​ [FONT=宋体]Please note[/FONT][FONT=宋体]:[/FONT]​[FONT=宋体]All documents must be accompanied by English or French translations. When original documents are requested, notarised documents are not acceptable.[/FONT] [FONT=宋体]LZ[/FONT][FONT=宋体]困惑了，这里说，所有材料必须要英文或法文翻译。当索要原件时，经公证的材料是不被接受的。那么就是说，我拿着派出所出的证明，不需要公证，自己做个英文翻译就可以了？[/FONT]​ [FONT=宋体]2[/FONT][FONT=宋体]、Passport photos: Passport size photographs (photographs must conform to the specifications outlined in the Guide to Immigrating IMM 3999 and Appendix B Photo [/FONT][FONT=宋体]Specifications)[/FONT]​ [FONT=宋体]LZ[/FONT][FONT=宋体]是按照Appendix B提供了6张35 mm x 45 mm的照片，看到这句话时又困惑了：首先，没发现3999里有关于照片的内容，其次，Appendix B里有一句话：[/FONT]​ [FONT=宋体]Immigration photos are not the same as passport photos.[/FONT]​ [FONT=宋体]移民照片和护照照片不一样，那么这封补护/料信里到底要的是哪种照片？[/FONT]​ [FONT=宋体]3[/FONT][FONT=宋体]、Please ensure your complete application number, name and address in Chinese characters is included with your correspondence and address your correspondence to the Embassy at the address indicated below. We will not respond to correspondence received without translation.[/FONT]​ [FONT=宋体]大家补料时用的快递都是只填自己和大使馆的中文地址吧，A self-addressed courier waybill 应该是和补的材料放一起，是吗？[/FONT]​ [FONT=宋体]“We will not respond to correspondence received without translation.”是指申请人自己的地址需要中英文都有吗？体现在哪里呢？LZ已经交了中英文对照的八张地址标签了。[/FONT]​ [/FONT]麻烦大家了，谢谢~~​

回复: 下午刚到手的补护/料信，有些疑问，麻烦大家帮忙看一下，谢1, if your notarized "hukou certificate" can indicate at what age you'd changed your name, I think an explanation letter will just do. Otherwise get a statement from the police and make the translation, plus your explanation letter. I'm not sure if you should notarize the police statement or not, but I think it doesn't harm to noarize it if you're worried that normal translation is not enough. 2, it's really confusing, i don't know. 3, does it ask for "courier way-bill"? “We will not respond to correspondence received without translation.” refers to the materials you submit, not the address.

Otherwise get a statement from the police and make the translation, plus your explanation letter.
