有一项，问你要根据什么法案申请，一个法案是收5加币access to information act另外一个法案是privacy act，不收费。英文解释：Access to Information Act:The purpose of the Access to Information Act is to provide a right of access to records under the control of a government institution to Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or any individual or corporation present in Canada.The application fee is $5.00.Under this Act, you can access all government records (which includes corporate documents, as well as personal information).Privacy Act:The purpose of the Privacy Act is to protect the privacy of individuals with respect to personal information about themselves where it is held by a government institution and to provide individuals with the right to access such information.There are no fees under the Privacy Act.Under this Act, only personal information may be accessed.选了法案后，下面还有两个选项要选，一个是corporate record ，一个是case file。英文解释Case files include personal information about an immigration or citizenship application submitted through CIC (i.e. an application for a study permit, a family class sponsorship, etc).Corporate records do not include personal information, but rather include information that documents or provides evidence of CIC’s business activities (i.e. briefing notes, policies, reports, plans, e-mails, etc).然后，不管怎么组合选择，都会有两个情况，一个是要你*Please provide details regarding the information being sought (i.e. date range, file names, report titles, locations, etc.). Please be as specific as possible (maximum 1,500 characters).一个则会让你三选以，一个是immigrant: permarnent, 第二个是immigrant: temporary,第三个是公民。我想这个应该选temporary。但是其它的该如何选？法案该选那一个？该选case file，还是corporate record。网站提供的英文的解释，我还是不能理解得很好，惭愧！

Be the change that you wish to see in the world.回复: CIC网上申请查caips，遇到问题求解！认真研读后，发现the Access to Information Act 和 Privacy Act的区别在于，前者查到的东西，包含后者。前者可以查倒corporate documents, as well as personal information，后者只可以查到personal information不知道，如果我想知道妈妈被拒签的原因的话，是否personal information就足够用了？还是必需要知道corporate documents？
