As a Field Service Technician you will need skills as a good communicator, and the mechanical and electrical knowledge to repair, troubleshoot, modify and test complex technical problems on Senfeng Machining products.Extensive travel within a set geographical area is required and occasional travel throughout North America. The services are provided on-site at our customer’s facilities and via telephone if the situation permits.We train the right people for a successful career in the machinery industry and pride ourselves on employee longevity and customer retention. RESPONSIBILITIES· Travel to customer locations to perform installation, diagnosis, repair and preventative maintenance of equipment· Diagnose technical problems and troubleshoot via telephone in a professional manner· Perform field and software upgrades· Train customers on the proper use and maintenance of the equipment· Complete required paperwork on time (e.g., service reports, discrepancy reports, expense reports, etc.) on a timely basis· Achieve/maintain Customer Survey Satisfaction rating as established by the Service Manager· Other duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.· Fiber Lasers and Co2 Lasers knowledge preferred· Working knowledge of how to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams· Experience with multi-axis CNC&Laser cutting process experience preferred· Experienced with the proper handling and safety procedures while handling of 480VAC· Familiar with the use of power and construction tools, such as: hammer drills, impact guns and cordless drills· Ability to operate computer using windows operating systems,must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel· Experienced with CAD/CAM software· Excellent oral and written communication skills· Strong customer service skills, with a “customer first” mindset· Minimum of an associate degree in Electronics, Robotics or Automation technologies· Self-motivated manager of own job performance· Must be willing to travel 75%, current valid drivers’ license requiredEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:· 2 (Two) year Technical degree· 1 years of experience with technical troubleshooting· Experience as field service in the machine tool industry a plus· Skilled in electrical measurement and inspection techniques.
