On January 2, 2013, my 13 year old daughter and I (both Chinese Citizens) were interviewed with my U.S. citizen husband for a 1-485 Adjustment of Status. The interview went well but was continued pending the receipt of a certified copy of husband’s California divorce, which we mailed the next day, and for further review of a file involving the return of my husband’s earlier Petition for Alien because the original validity dates had passed. The Vermont Service Center of the USCIS wrote my husband on December 8, 2012 that they were closing the petition without prejudice to the filing of future petitions and applications. I have two questions: 1. How long should we expect a final review and decision to be reached?2. At what point should we contact the Interviewer at the USCIS if there is no action. Thak you very much.

1. 补充老公（美国公民）以前的离婚材料。这个材料在递交移民申请时是必须附上的材料。当时怎么会没交上去？补交材料会耽误审理时间的。2. 老公以前的移民申请过期了？这一点不太清楚是怎么回事儿？他以前为谁申请过亲属移民？为什么过期了？总之：如果婚姻是真实的，中国配偶入境是合法的，那么批下来只是时间问题。耐心等等就好了。可以给移民局打电话问一下情况。如果等待45天到60天没什么消息，还可以在网上预约一个INFOPASS，亲自到移民局去催一下。http://infopass.uscis.gov
