加拿大华人论坛 美国留学移民J1有效期正好1年,能够waiver吗?

大使馆上写的J1有效期大于1年，同时呆够了半年就可以申请可是我的有效期正好1年，能否waiver？

可以抓紧递交申请，感觉有些条款只是摆设，并没有严格执行。也可以先与辖区教育处主管联系。

Here is the answer:1), Check your visa page--whether there is a line says "two Years Rule", if there is, then you need to do the waiver.2), You need to do the waiver as soon as you can, because after your waiver, you must be still within your Valid Status, otherwise you got the Waiver, but you did not have any status, then you can not get your new nonimmigration and immigration status.
